Sashko was admitted to "Pirogov" in a relatively good condition.

The child had very close to normal parameters with slight deviations that are completely acceptable.

Certainly, a 9-day stay without food and water would lead to much more serious consequences.

That is, this child somehow managed to be fed and receive enough fluids to keep his parameters normal.

But for me it is joyful that we doctors did not have so much work, and this child was saved by the Bulgarian society, which united to find him.

This was stated in the studio of "Wake up" on Nova TV, the head of the Neurosurgery Clinic in "Pirogov", Prof. Nikolay Gabrovski, regarding the condition of Alexander from Pernik, who was searched for by dozens of volunteers for days.

He also commented on the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I think that a large part of Bulgarians took a very correct and reasonable position, which was also the position of Europe and the civilized world.

But unfortunately politics found this topic too convenient and the political entered this expert topic and tried to take advantage", he stressed.

Professor Gabrovski also shared personal experience from his work with patients during the several waves of the pandemic.

"During this period, there was a trust that the Bulgarian doctor has never enjoyed.

A well-deserved trust, because the results we

achieved in this difficult period were quite good in terms of lives saved.

But then politics stepped in and shifted the focus.

But one of our losses as a society is that we have not learned some important lessons.

namely, that we can only deal with difficult challenges when we are together”.

According to him, the latest mutations of the virus are more favorable.

"I would say that they no longer have anything to do with this deadly disease that we initially encountered."

I'm looking forward to a quieter season and it's safe to say that this thing is largely behind us."
