MCD Elections: Many people who came to vote were troubled in search of their polling booth

New Delhi :

MCD Elections Voting took place on Sunday for the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections.

Some people who reached the polling booth to exercise their franchise were disappointed when they found their names missing from the voter list.

Angry and disappointed voters have alleged mismanagement in the conduct of MCD elections.

Many voters claimed that they wandered for hours in search of the booth where they had to cast their vote. 

A voter named Kaluram said, "I have been wandering with my son for an hour but still have not found the booth to vote. I am being asked to go to a different booth. My wife has cast her vote." Gave but I could not."

Another woman also faced a similar situation.

This woman told that more than 20 members of her family had come to cast their vote but most of them have returned due to not being able to locate their booth. 

A woman said, "We have been wandering for two hours. We are being sent to different rooms only to say that we cannot vote there. When we do not know where to vote, How to use the franchise." A young voter said, "Earlier an APP used to give all the information related to the election, but like the slips, now it is also giving wrong information." He said that there is no system here.

Earlier there used to be a method of election but due to no system, people are getting late for office.

Students are getting late for tuition.

It shouldn't be done this way.

Returning from a polling booth without casting her vote, the first-time voter said, “In the last two hours, we have been asked to visit seven-eight booths.

I was desperate to cast my vote but could not do so.
