The girl's mother, Kavita, worked as a nurse at Sarvodaya Hospital in Ghaziabad and was in love with Vinay Sharma, who worked as an insurance executive in the same hospital.

According to the police, on the night of November 29, Mahendra came home drunk and had a fight with his wife.

After this, with the help of Vinay, Kavita strangled Mahendra to death.

It is alleged that after the murder, Kavita cleverly took Mahendra to Sarvodaya Hospital, where she tried to make everyone believe that Mahendra had committed suicide by hanging himself, but following full protocol, the hospital informed the police.

When the post-mortem was conducted by the police, it was found that Mahendra had been strangled to death.

As the police investigation progressed, Mahendra's 13-year-old daughter was interrogated and it was found that when Mahendra came drunk at night, he had a fight with Kavita.

After this, the girl saw that Kavita was sitting on Mahendra's chest and was strangling him.

On this basis, Kavita was arrested.

According to Ghaziabad SP City Nipun Agarwal, the police have received WhatsApp chat and recording.

This has proved that Vinay and Kavita together made a plan to kill Mahendra and killed him.
