Jonathan, the world's longest-lived tortoise on the island of St. Helena in the South Atlantic, will celebrate his 190th birthday on the 4th.

[Instant News/Comprehensive Report] The Seychelles giant tortoise Jonathan (Jonathan) on the island of St. Helena in the South Atlantic Ocean is currently the world's longest-lived tortoise. It is estimated that it hatched in 1832 and will be born tomorrow (4 Day) celebrated his 190th birthday.

Guinness World Records noted that Jonathan's exact hatching date is unknown, but he was estimated to be 50 years old when he was sent to St. Helena in 1882, according to the Guardian.

The old Jonathan was blinded by cataracts and lost his sense of smell. In 1991, he became a partner with another tortoise, Frederica, but Frederica was later found to be a male. It is also one of the reasons why Jonathan has no offspring.
