The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated on December 3.

In 1992, the UN General Assembly announced the date as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Its aim is to constantly motivate politicians and institutions to take more effective actions to guarantee access to the general environment of people with disabilities, as well as access to the general education system, to the general labor market, to information and to the production processes and making policy decisions that relate to them.

The theme of the UN on this occasion in 2022 is related to the need for a change in decisions, inclusion of people with disabilities through innovation with the aim of a more accessible and fair world.
