The State Bureau of Investigation conducted searches in two departments of the

Kyiv City

State Administration within the scope of the case regarding the misuse of recreational land of one of Kyiv's parks and abuse of power. 

This was reported by the press service of the DBR.  

It is noted that during the searches, documents were seized regarding the announcement of a competition to attract an investor and the fulfillment of the terms of the investment agreement between the KMDA and one of Kyiv's enterprises.

"It was established that in 2015, one of the capital's companies entered into an investment contract with the KMDA regarding the construction of sports facilities and structures. However, according to the investigation, the company does not fulfill the terms of the investment contract, in particular, regarding the terms of construction and the schedule of financing the project. The facts of non-targeted use were also recorded of the territory of the park. The works, which were supposed to be completed by March 2022, have currently been completed by only 30% of what was stated in the project and estimate documentation," the message says.

The total amount of investments under the contract is

almost 149 million hryvnias.

Currently, representatives of the State Security Bureau are investigating the involvement of KMDA officials in the company's failure to fulfill the terms of the contract over the past seven years.

Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Art.

364 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power or official position that caused grave consequences).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of up to 6 years.
