Soon, the first of 14 THeMIS ground unmanned armored personnel carriers will arrive in Ukraine as part of the military assistance from Germany.

Colonel Vladyslav Nazarov, the spokesman of OK "South", informed about this and told more about this technique.

"Ukraine should soon receive the first of 14 ground drones created in Estonia. The first seven will be delivered to Ukraine by the end of this year, the rest in the second quarter of 2023," Nazarov's post said.

He said in the video that these ground drones can be used

to evacuate the wounded, deliver ammunition or clear traffic routes.

The equipment is equipped with a hybrid diesel-electric engine.

Thanks to its capacity, THeMIS can transport up to 750 kg.

Such armored personnel carriers are also

equipped with cameras

 - they allow you to check dangerous areas so as not to expose the military to risk.

The drone is controlled using a remote control.

However, THeMIS can be

programmed to move independently

 between points.

As for the speed of movement, it reaches up to 25 km/h.

Note that the first THeMIS devices arrived in Ukraine in September.

They were manufactured by the Estonian defense company Milrem Robotics.

We will remind, on December 1, Germany announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine.

It included, in particular, 7 Gepard anti-aircraft guns, 8 surface drones and other equipment.

It should be noted that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Germany to hand over the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, which would be a historic decision for which all generations of Ukrainians would thank Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
