The chairman of the ruling Polish conservative party "Law and Justice" Jaroslaw Kaczynski criticized today the dominance of Germany in Europe, BTA reported, referring to AFP.

He accused Germany of trying to realize by peaceful methods its plans which it once wanted to realize by military methods.

Kaczynski, considered the main strategist of Poland's ruling right, often attacks Germany and the EU.

He is on a tour of the country and gave a speech today in Legnica, in Southwestern Poland.

There he warned that the strength of Europe is rooted in the strength of the peoples of Europe and to a large extent in the strength of sovereign states.

"This is a path that leads to crisis and unhappiness. Not only for Poland, but also for Europe. And also for Germany," Kaczynski warned.

Poland accused Germany and France of favoring Russia

Alongside the anti-German and Eurosceptic rhetoric, which the Polish opposition says is partly linked to the country's election campaign for elections scheduled for autumn 2023, Polish authorities have also recently launched a diplomatic offensive to demand reparations from Germany for World War II damage. world war, estimated by Warsaw at 300 billion euros.

According to Germany, Poland renounced reparations in 1953 and has confirmed this on several occasions.

In this context, Warsaw rejected at the end of November a German offer to Berlin to send American Patriot air defense systems to it after the fall of a missile in Poland, in which two people were killed.

The Polish government proposed that Germany transfer this equipment to Ukraine instead.
