In the Transcarpathian region, they decided to ban festive illumination, street lighting and outdoor advertising.

The decision is planned to be made at a meeting of the City Defense Council.

Viktor Mykyta, the head of Zakarpattia OVA, announced this on Facebook.

"On Monday, a draft decision on banning the use of all types of outdoor lighting, including outdoor advertising, advertising signs, garlands and lighting, lighting of the street and road network, etc., will be submitted to the Regional Defense Council meeting on Monday," he wrote.

According to him, street lighting will be prohibited regardless of power outage schedules. 

Compliance with the rules will be monitored by employees of the police, SBU, RVA and

 heads of territorial communities.

"There is a war in the country, so this winter there is no holiday illumination. 

We leave the light on only in houses and objects of critical infrastructure.

Everything else is turned off until the energy supply situation in the country stabilizes," said Mykyta.

Protection of illuminations and lighting

In the Chernivtsi region, it

was forbidden to use New Year's illuminations

on houses, parks, squares, trees, bushes and other structures.

However, the work of illuminations that are powered by sources of alternative power supply is allowed.

 The use of New Year's festive illumination is prohibited

in the territory of the Poltava region .

Garlands, light 

decorations are also prohibited on the territory of the Kyiv region.

 It applies to both commercial and communal and state property.
