BABH works year-round and permanently.

It is currently conducting checks and tightening control on certain topics.

Now on the agenda is Nicholas Day and the quality of the fish is checked.

Followed by checks on the supply of meat and all food in general.

This was stated in the studio of "Wake up" on Nova TV, the deputy executive director of the BABH, Dr. Galya Vikyova.

The expert gave advice on what to look for when buying the traditional carp for Nicholas Day.

According to her, traders are becoming more and more responsible for the food they offer over the years.

"They are the guarantor of its quality and safety.

And our employees are in the field every day and carry out checks", she is categorical.

Doctor Vikiova also commented on the checks on the quality of the cheese produced in our country in view of a report by the "Active Consumers" Association that a product has recently been found to contain nearly 90 percent water.

"To the best of our knowledge, this product is fresh cheese.

This is not a brined cheese and it is permissible for the water content to be higher.

But this particular business operator is yet to be verified and then we will give more detailed information", she stressed.

From November 22, 2022, 39 samples were taken for laboratory analysis by physicochemical indicators, to establish the presence of incorporated non-dairy fats and to determine the amount of dry matter within the permissible limits.

The results of 35 of the samples were obtained.

No discrepancies were found in 22 of them.

Deviations were reported in thirteen of the samples.

One sample was found to contain non-dairy fat.

The rest of the samples do not comply with the regulations in terms of physicochemical parameters.

For the inconsistencies found in the analyzes carried out, 6 acts for establishing administrative violations were drawn up, stated in a press release to the media from the BBAH.

Doctor Vikiova specified that the final analyzes from the inspection of dairy products will be ready by mid-December.
