The number of vessels in the waters of the "Mandra" dam near Burgas, with which the missing fishermen Ivelin Todorov and Petar Petrov are being searched, is increasing.

Today is the fifth day in a row that the teams of several government services and volunteers are surveying the bottom of the reservoir and its banks.

This morning, boats equipped with sonar systems were transported to Burgas from Plovdiv, Primorsko and Kazanlak.

Local fishermen also participate with their own vessels, BTA reports.

"This will be a great help to the divers from the Regional Directorate of Fire Safety and Protection of the Population."

The first boat arrived last night from Plovdiv.

It was put into the water early this morning, together with the municipal boat," said the Mayor of Burgas Municipality, Dimitar Nikolov.

At this time there are almost ten vessels in the dam.

The Mayor of Burgas: Another sonar has been provided for the search for the missing fishermen

"I am extremely grateful to the owners of the boats for their help and gesture.

I hope there is a result from the efforts," Nikolov wrote earlier today on his official Facebook page.

Yesterday he made a media appeal to owners of vessels equipped with bottom surveying equipment.

Anyone who has the opportunity to help can contact the dispatchers of the emergency telephone 112 or the duty telephones in the local administration: 056/ 841 560 or 056/ 907 218, the mayor of Burgas said.
