Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov did not confirm the transfer of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council said this on the air "Nastoyastchee vremya".

"The Lavra is the property of the entire people. I did not see that the state gave the opportunity to use the premises. Anyone can register a public organization at any address, but the owner's consent must be obtained

. Neither the Cabinet of Ministers nor anyone else approved such documents.

" Danilov said.

Commenting on the information about the ban of the UOC (MP) on the territory of Ukraine, Danilov said that it is impossible to hand over temples to the OCU today.

However, if it is proven that the network of the Moscow Patriarchate cooperates with the aggressor country,

then they will be closed and banned in Ukraine.

"We need to figure out what is happening there. Everything that should happen is written in the decree," he added.

"Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" is registered as a monastery of the OCU

It will be recalled that the spokesman of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Evstratiy Zorya, reported that the "Holy Dormition

Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra"

was allegedly  registered as a monastery within the OCU.

Later, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy explained that the registration of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra as a monastery of the OCU refers to the same monastery that was previously used by the OCU.

It is located opposite the territory of the Upper Lavra.

According to the Unified State Register, the name has been changed and the address clarified.
