I want to bring up the issue related to healthcare institutions regarding the draft law "On Public-Private Partnership".

Very serious healthcare reforms are being carried out in Azerbaijan."

APA reports that Rashad Mahmudov, deputy chairman of the parliamentary committee, said this at the Milli Mejlis meeting held today.

The MP said that along with the introduction of compulsory health insurance, relations between the state and private partners have been established: "But a problem is emerging.

Equality is not ensured among the currently operating medical institutions in our country.

There are currently 4 types of medical institutions operating in our country.

There are hospitals and medical institutions under TABIB, institutes, private hospitals, including the Medical University under the Ministry of Health, as well as medical institutions under different ministries.

Due to changes in legislation, there are significant differences between VATs.

An organization pays VAT at the rate of 1%, an organization is exempt from income tax as a private organization.

Between 1% and 38% there are significant differences.

These differences create serious obstacles to the work done in the country today.

This is a serious obstacle to public-private partnership.

Therefore, I strongly request that these differences be resolved by the relevant institutions, solutions to this issue should be found.

If all institutions authorized by the relevant body of the country engage in the same activity, they should be given the name of medical institution.

Elnur Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Economy, noted that if the Ministry of Economy wants to hold specific discussions on healthcare institutions, they are ready for it.
