In the Odesa region, a woman reported to the police that she found her roommate dead at home.

The law enforcement officers went to the address of the couple's residence and established that the woman stabbed the victim with a knife.

This was reported by the Odesa Oblast police.

The police officers found out that the married couple had been drinking alcohol together the night before.

"During the feast, a quarrel began, a 37-year-old woman grabbed a knife and stabbed a 51-year-old man in the chest with it. After the crime, the offender went to bed, and in the morning she found the victim already without signs of life. The man died from a stab wound to the heart. From the words citizen, he used obscenities in her direction and threw himself into a fight during the conflict, so she grabbed a knife," the police said in a statement.

The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect.

It should be noted that intentional homicide is punishable by seven to fifteen years of imprisonment under current legislation.

For what he committed, he faces up to fifteen years in prison.
