Russian President

Vladimir Putin

is choosing between two options - to prolong the war in Ukraine for a long time, or to force Kyiv to negotiate on his own terms.

Military expert

Mykhailo Samus

said this in a telethon broadcast on the TSN YouTube channel, commenting on missile strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure.

"The main task of these massive missile attacks is to create a humanitarian disaster in Ukraine, when there will be massive migration flows to Europe again and thus there will be pressure on Europe itself.

Putin sincerely believes that the Europeans and our Western partners can put pressure on the Ukrainian leadership and yet to force negotiations

," he noted.

As Samus emphasized, Putin's main goal is to force Ukraine to negotiate.

"

He has two options - either endlessly drag out this war, which for him is turning into a catastrophe more and more, or force Ukraine to negotiate

," he explained.

According to the expert,

the third option - when the war ends on Ukraine's terms - means the actual collapse of Putin himself

.

"This is the end of his not only political, but also physical life, because in the Moscow tradition, this is how previous leaders leave and give way to the next ones. It is because of murder, as a rule," Samus said.

It will be recalled that the Armed Forces warned of a very high probability of a new missile attack by Russia.

Ukrainians were advised to prepare, because the consequences of a massive strike may be long-lasting and will disappear for some time.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that the war will end in two cases - when Ukraine wins, or when Russia itself admits defeat.

Mykhailo Podolyak

, adviser to the head of the OPU

, believes that the war can end with the liberation of the Armed Forces of a large city, after which the Russian Federation will be forced to withdraw from the remaining occupied territories.
