Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) Margarita Cederfelt within the framework of his participation in the 29th meeting of the OSCE Council of Ministers in Lodz.

According to the information given to APA by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the meeting, views were exchanged on the development prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and the OSCE PA, the issues on the agenda of the OSCE PA, as well as the latest processes taking place in the region, the possible contributions of the OSCE PA to the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the OSCE PA President about the current situation in the region, including the restoration and construction works in the liberated territories, mine threats, as well as the steps taken by Azerbaijan towards the normalization of relations with Armenia.

He said that despite Armenia's provocations and the policy of slowing down the processes, Azerbaijan will continue its efforts in all important directions to ensure peace and stability in the region, including the signing of the future peace agreement, border delimitation, opening of all communications and other issues.

Margareta Sederfelt noted that the OSCE PA attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan, and also emphasized the importance of ensuring peace and security in the region, and in this regard, the OSCE PA is ready to promote inter-parliamentary dialogue to support the peace process.

At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on other issues of interest to the parties.
