"Lessons have been learned, conclusions have been drawn. We know that for many of the things we were pointed at, the last few weeks have shown that we were right. The party is alive and as a normal political force, of course it is ready to take participation in the next elections," said the former MP from Ima talik narod

"There is such a people" is a political party in Bulgaria, created by the Bulgarian television (ITN) Ivaylo Valchev in the studio of "Day ON AIR".

He thinks that people still have the trust and need in this system to have someone who was not born and bred in it and follow its rules because we have seen new political parties enter the system with ambitions to change but too quickly learn to be like the others and start playing their game.

"We were the ones who adopted the machine vote. We are 'for' machine voting, internet voting, remote voting, making everything possible for a person to express their political will without waiting for queues. For the last elections, we continue to believe in the machines, but after everything that has been heard, we cannot believe in the operators of the machines," Valchev told Bulgaria ON AIR.

Deputies finished with the changes to the Electoral Code

He specified that many computer specialists, not only from ITN, but also from other parties, have shown a desire to look as much as possible at how exactly the machines operate, how clean the codes are, because it is "different when a professional eye sees it". .

"When the most important business of a newly constituted parliament, which trembles because it does not know how long it will last, becomes to adopt quickly a new code which will secure new results, it always seems a pity. I have not seen and I have not understood that there are many people who are worried about the fact that voting is done by machines," said the guest.

Valchev confirmed that they have doubts about the machine vote from October 2, and also does not believe that the president can stop by veto what the parliament has already decided to do.

He commented on the topic of the party's desire for Bulgaria to become a presidential republic.

"We never wanted to ask: 'Do you want a presidential republic'. We are not idiots, we know that the way of governing the republic does not change with one question. Even when I mentioned it for the first time, Mr. Trifonov said that we will ask the people whether they want a presidential or a parliamentary republic. What we are talking about is a presidential-parliamentary model of government," Valchev explained.

He explained how this type of country works and gave France as an example, and later noted that the party is also preparing for local elections next year.

"There is no way we can all line up on parliamentary lists and all become MPs. The last elections showed it. There are people in our structure who are recognizable in places, long before the ITN party existed. They have engaged in various local causes and these persons will certainly find support", Valchev is categorical.

"We may be idealists in politics, but we are practical in doing work. We know it will not be easy, we know what it costs to touch power, we know what we were accused of," the guest noted.
