On Thursday, December 1, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law that provides for the possibility of granting leave to military personnel during martial law.
People's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced this in his Telegram channel.
According to the adopted law, during martial law, military personnel may be granted a part of the annual basic leave, as well as leave for family reasons and for other good reasons, with the maintenance of financial support.
The duration of each of the specified vacations cannot be longer than 10 calendar days without taking into account the time required to travel within Ukraine to the place of the vacation and back, but no more than two days one way.
Part of the annual basic leave can be granted once during the calendar year, provided that no more than 30 percent of the total number of servicemen of a certain category of the corresponding unit is absent at the same time
The law will enter into force on the day following its publication.
