Azerbaijan has been subject to abuse of consensus within the OSCE for years.

APA reports that this was said by Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, who spoke at the 29th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OSCE.

He noted that the principle of consensus-based decision-making is clearly reflected in all key OSCE decisions: "Azerbaijan has been subject to abuse of consensus within the organization for years.

Despite this, we have always been a supporter of joint security."

The minister noted that sending a needs assessment mission to Armenia without consensus is a clear violation of the mandate adopted by the collective will of all participating states.

"All OSCE institutions, including the chairmanship and secretariat, were established as a common asset for all participating countries.

Failure to act accordingly undermines trust.

"Azerbaijan calls on these institutions to correct the gross violation of their mandates," the diplomat stressed.
