In the Cherkasy region, the activity of the Church of the Moscow Patriarchate

was banned on the territory of the Shpolyansk community .

The decision was taken unanimously.

This was announced by the Shpolya City Council on Facebook.

The decision was made in order to protect the sovereignty, national security and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

And also to prevent collaborationism and stop inciting inter-religious enmity.

"The decision was unanimously adopted by city deputies at an extraordinary meeting of the session on November 29. People's elected officials took into account the anti-Ukrainian and anti-state position of religious organizations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in unity with the Moscow Patriarchate and other religious organizations with a center in the aggressor country," the message reads.

We will remind you that the Verkhovna Rada registered a draft law on

banning the activities of MPs on the territory of Ukraine.

The proposed law provides for a complete ban on any religious organizations and institutions that are part of or recognize in any form subordination in canonical, organizational, and other matters of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Scandals with the UOC MP and SBU searches on their territories

Recently, security forces of the Security Service of Ukraine "took on" the UOC MP.

Thus, one of the loudest was the search of the

Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, where a scandal broke out

over a song glorifying Russia, which is supposedly awakening.

During searches of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and other premises of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (MP), law enforcement officers found

millions of cash, pro-Russian literature

 and dubious citizens of Russia.

In addition, searches were carried out in the territories of the Pochaiv Theological Seminary and the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy of the UOC (MP) and the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy of the UOC (MP), where

propaganda materials and hostile symbols were found.

The day before, on November 30, the SBU "visited" one of the monasteries of the

Mukachevo diocese of the UOC (MP) in Transcarpathia with a search.

Meanwhile, in Vinnychyna,

suspicion was handed over to the metropolitan of one of the dioceses of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

According to law enforcement officers, he incited religious enmity and also ordered to pray for Patriarch Kirill, who supports Russia's war against Ukraine.

And in the Kharkiv region

, the abbot of the UOC temple of the Moscow Patriarchate

was exposed .

During the occupation of the Kupyan district by the Russians, the churchman urged his parishioners to support the army of the aggressor country and invaders.
