Tainan Mayor Huang Weizhe hoped that the budget would be passed quickly today.

Tainan City Council Speaker Guo Xinliang said today that he will convene a meeting of various party groups in the near future to discuss when to hold an interim meeting to review the budget. He respects the opinions of each party group.

Tainan City's 112th annual general budget plan includes an annual revenue budget of more than 98 billion yuan, an annual expenditure budget of more than 102.5 billion yuan, and a shortfall of more than 4.5 billion yuan in annual revenue and annual business trips.

In October of this year, the Tainan City Council jointly reviewed the budget. At the end of the session, the entire budget has not yet been reviewed. At present, there are still 4 bureaus and divisions, including the Municipal Public Works Bureau, Water Conservancy Bureau, Transportation Bureau, and Information Office, whose budgets have not yet been discussed.
