The heads of the governments of Germany, Olaf Scholz, and Norway, Jonas Haar Støre, said that such acts cannot remain without consequences.

Scholz noted that countries take the protection of critical infrastructure very seriously so that no one can sabotage without consequences.

"Pipelines, telephone cables, Internet communication are vital for our states and must be especially protected," said the German chancellor.

Scholz also emphasized that Norway has become an important supplier of energy resources after the refusal of European countries to cooperate with Russia.

In this area, therefore, infrastructure security is extremely important.

In turn, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that he agrees with the position of the leaders of Norway and Germany.

"More must be done to ensure that our maritime infrastructure remains safe from future acts of destruction," he said.
