The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, responded to a petition regarding the demobilization of military personnel who have served a year.

He instructed the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Denys Shmygal, to work on this issue.

This is stated in the president's response to the corresponding petition.

Zelensky emphasized that there is still no mechanism to demobilize military personnel who have served a year.

Currently, in accordance with Article 26 of the Law of Ukraine "On Military Duty and Military Service", there are the following conditions for demobilization: due to health, in connection with the entry into force of a guilty verdict of the court, due to family circumstances or due to certain laws of Ukraine for important reasons.

Others have not yet been foreseen.

"I appealed to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal with a request to comprehensively process the issues raised in the electronic petition and to inform the author about the results of their consideration," the president wrote.
