Ukraine's air defenses have significantly increased their effectiveness thanks to Western military assistance and can now intercept up to 85-90% of Russian cruise missiles.

This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,

, on the broadcast of the All-Ukrainian telethon on the YouTube channel of TSN.

"Unfortunately,

we cannot ensure 100% shooting down of missiles

. Although, when the war began, we shot down 20-30-40%. Today, with the help of our partners, the devices that the Armed Forces have received,

this indicator is sometimes 85 -90%

, "said the secretary of the NSDC.

Commenting on the threat to the Ukrainian energy system from missile attacks, Danilov noted:

They have been engaged in the destruction of our energy system for the past 2-2.5 months

. This is a difficult task for us, a difficult situation. The legacy of the past from the Soviet Union, when we still had the most centralized system, will disappear after this war. Today, experts are dealing with the issue of ensuring that in no In this case, the light did not go out among our citizens. But now the situation is difficult, we do not hide it.

Will there be attacks? Yes, they will. Will our system survive? Yes, we are doing everything to ensure that it will definitely survive

Danilov also addressed the Ukrainians regarding Russia's massive missile strikes.

"I want to calm everyone down. When there is a rocket attack, the authorities will definitely inform you about it. You don't need to live constantly in anticipation of some trouble. Live your life, which is already difficult," he said.

We will remind you that on November 23, Russia launched about 70 Kh-101/Kh-555 Kalibr cruise missiles over the territory of Ukraine.

The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down 51 missiles and also destroyed five kamikaze drones. 

The attack by the occupiers killed at least 10 people and injured at least 50.

In total, the Russians hit 16 infrastructure objects with missiles, as a result of which a number of regions of Ukraine were left without electricity, water and heating.

On November 17, the Russian invaders launched 18 cruise missiles and 5 drones over the territory of Ukraine.

It was possible to shoot down 6 missiles.

On November 15, 73 of the 90 missiles launched by Russia were shot down, and all of the dozen kamikaze drones were destroyed.

In the Kyiv region, air defense units shot down 18 out of 21 missiles. As a result of the missile attack, one person in Kyiv was killed and six more were injured.

The power system, businesses, and residential buildings were affected.
