"It is especially important for every person who opposes tyranny in Belarus to be at least visible and heard.
It is important that the OSCE monitors the situation in Belarus, does not remove it from the agenda and demonstrates solidarity with the struggle of our people, - Tikhanovskaya said at the beginning of her speech.
— I am sure that the OSCE has tools to influence the situation.
And I'm asking you: don't wait for another victim, don't wait for another death, you need to act now."
Speaking about political prisoners in Belarus, Tsikhanovskaya mentioned
Maria Kalesnikova and Ales Bialiatskyi by name.
Regarding the deterioration of the situation in Belarus, the democratic leader of Belarus noted:
"The Lukashenka regime felt its impunity and continued with its terror.
The first evidence of this was the hijacking of the Ryanair plane.
The second is the large-scale migration crisis that Lukashenko caused on the border with Europe.
The tyrant's next step was his participation in the criminal war against Ukraine.
Once again violating the Constitution of Belarus and all existing norms, once again betraying the national interests of Belarusians, Lukashenka made a deal with the devil.
He himself invited occupation troops to our country and sold Belarusian sovereignty for the opportunity to sit on his throne a little longer.
Now he is terrorizing not only Belarusians, but also the entire European society."
Speaking about what the OSCE can do in the current situation, Tsikhanovskaya said:
"I am sure that each of us can do more to stop this crisis and with this help stop the war.
I am sure that the OSCE can do much more.
I urge you to re-launch the Moscow mechanism for the review of the crimes of the Lukashenka regime.
I urge you to support Belarusian human rights defenders and independent journalists.
I urge you to request and insist on visiting political prisoners in their places of imprisonment.
Would Lukashenka's regime refuse a request to visit Nobel Peace Prize laureate Ales Bialiatski?
Or laureate of the Sakharov Prize Maria Kalesnikova?
Have such requests been received?
I urge you to continue and increase the pressure on the illegitimate regime.
We should not ask him to discuss and negotiate.
We must force him to unconditionally release all political prisoners in Belarus.
We demand the rehabilitation of all those who suffered from illegal detentions.
I call for the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Belarus.
I call on you to organize hearings on the humanitarian crisis in Belarus and on the participation of the regime in the war against the will of Belarusians.
Invite representatives of democratic Belarus, including the United Transitional Cabinet, to these hearings.
This will be the first step in effectively opposing tyranny and threats to European security."
