Western allies may provide Ukraine with a powerful SAMP-T air defense system in the first quarter of 2023.

This opinion was expressed by military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko on Espresso.

"The terrorist threat from the Russian occupiers helps to solve the issues that were previously an obstacle to the accelerated provision of air defense systems to Ukraine. However, if we talk specifically about the SAMP-T air defense systems, then depending on the speed of decision-making, Ukraine will be able to receive these systems as early as the first quarter of 2023 Our partners definitely have such an opportunity," he concluded.

According to him, the strikes of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian critical infrastructure accelerate the provision of modern air defense systems to the Armed Forces.

"Bureaucratic processes in the West are happening much faster than it was at the beginning of a full-scale invasion," he explained.

It will be recalled that

Ukraine is negotiating with its allies

regarding the transfer of American Patriot air defense systems.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, if earlier this was not discussed, and only Kyiv raised this issue, now the dialogue has moved from a dead point.
