The Russian military has achieved small successes in the Donetsk region in the Bakhmut area, but the occupiers greatly exaggerate their achievements on the front.

Analysts of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW)

write

about this .

Experts point out that Russian propagandists baselessly report that the aggressors allegedly managed to break through the Ukrainian defense line south of Bakhmut along the T0513 road to the settlement of Chasovii Yar.

If the occupiers had managed to do this, they would have cut off one of the two main supply lines for the Ukrainian military.

Instead, analysts write about the low probability that the Russian occupiers could advance at the high pace reported by Russian propaganda.

ISW experts point out that the geolocation data shows that the military advance south of Bakhmut has been very little.

"Such claims are probably part of the Russian information operation and are premature. The degraded Russian forces around Bakhmut are unlikely to quickly put Bakhmut at risk of an imminent encirclement," the analysts summarized.

It will be recalled that earlier it was reported that

the fiercest battles are currently ongoing in the Bakhmut direction

.

The Russians have drawn up reserves there and are constantly attacking the positions of the Armed Forces, but the Defense Forces are resisting the enemy.

In addition, we previously informed that the Advisor to the Office of the President, Oleksiy Arestovych, said that Ukrainian tankers

near Bakhmut are working real miracles

.

They work both as tanks and as artillery.
