The German Parliament recognized the Holodomor as an act of genocide.

APA reports with reference to "Deutsche Welle" that the German Bundestag has declared the famine that caused the death of millions of people in Ukraine in the 1930s as a result of the policies of the Soviet leader Stalin as a genocide.

The resolution called the Holodomor a crime against humanity.

"The political staff of the Soviet Union under the leadership of Stalin was responsible for what happened," it was said.
