"The biased resolution adopted by the French National Assembly regarding Azerbaijan is another blow to the relations between our countries and a clear disrespect for international law. I believe that this once again proved that the mistrust of France in the Azerbaijani society is justified."

Soltan Mammadov, the head of the Azerbaijan-France inter-parliamentary relations working group of the Milli Majlis, said this to APA.

He noted that the previous resolution adopted by the French Senate serves the same political goals.

The deputy emphasized that the adoption of such groundless documents, which have no political significance for Azerbaijan, hinders peace and cooperation initiatives in the South Caucasus: "There is no doubt that one of the main goals of adopting this resolution is to create additional opportunities for political pressure on Azerbaijan. However, the French if our colleagues look at the experience of recent years, they would see that it is simply impossible to put pressure on Azerbaijan and force them to compromise their national interests. Our country is a strong state that pursues a completely independent policy and has the opportunity to freely determine its place and partners in the system of international relations.

Soltan Mammadov pointed out that the resolution adopted by the French National Assembly on "stopping Azerbaijan's aggression against Armenia and establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus" contains completely absurd considerations.

The accusations against Azerbaijan are not based on any specific facts or international legal documents: "The Azerbaijani Parliament issued a statement regarding the well-known resolution adopted by the French Senate. I think that the position of our country and the Parliament of Azerbaijan was clearly reflected in that statement. Unfortunately, , our numerous calls did not yield results. The documents adopted by the Senate and the Assembly are primarily a blow to France's own national interests, including its policy on the South Caucasus. It is no secret to anyone that those with interests in the South Caucasus,

The deputy said that the resolution adopted by the National Assembly demonstrates once again that France is not impartial in its relations with the countries of the South Caucasus, especially in its policy regarding the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
