Poland accelerates preparations for the annexation of Western Ukrainian lands.

APA's Moscow correspondent reports that this was stated by the director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergey Naryshkin in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"Information received by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service shows that Warsaw is accelerating preparations for the annexation of Western Ukrainian lands: Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk regions and most of the Ternopil region," said Naryshkin.

According to him, the Polish leadership is afraid that NATO's high-ranking partners will try to negotiate with Moscow against the interests of not only Ukrainians, but also Poles in the winter months, and has set a goal to act actively and persistently.

Naryshkin noted that Polish President Duda ordered the relevant services to quickly prepare an official justification for Poland's claims to Western Ukraine.

According to him, the starting point of ongoing archival research is the Volyn massacre of 1943.
