In Kharkiv Oblast, a local woman tore the national flag of Ukraine from the building of the Vilsha Starostat, tore it and threw it away.

For this, she faces up to three years in prison.

As it became known, the incident happened in the village of Vilshany of the Solonytsiv territorial community of the Kharkiv district.

"In the course of working out the territory, the policemen of the Police Department No. 3 of the Kharkiv District Police Department No. 3 promptly searched for the perpetrator.

She turned out to be a 34-year-old local resident.

On November 30, investigators under the procedural guidance of the Dergachev district prosecutor's office informed the perpetrator of the suspicion of committing a crime, provided for in Part 1 of Art.

338 ("Insult of state symbols") of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The sanction of the article provides up to 3 years of imprisonment", - the National Police of the region said.
