Social policy is not handouts and compensations, Vice President Iliana Yotova commented to journalists in Pernik

Iliana Malinova Yotova is a Bulgarian politician, the 5th Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, BTA reported.

According to her, through other policies, it is necessary for her to create conditions for people with disabilities to feel like normal citizens and to earn through their work.

Therefore, she hopes that in the next budget, citizens from vulnerable groups will be thought of in a way that provides opportunities for them to show their best.

According to Yotova, the heavy debate on the 2023 budget is moving towards an extension of the current one, which, according to her, is of the last regular government of Kiril Petkov with minor improvements.

The Vice-President expressed hope that in the coming days, reason will prevail, proposals will be made that will really be workable, feasible and realistic.

Yotova also indicated that she is a supporter of the thesis that the official cabinet should not submit a proposal for a comprehensive state budget.

"For me, this is the most important and the most political law," emphasized the vice president.

She expressed hope for a stable cabinet to make a new budget.

If a stable government is formed, the next regular budget could be adopted in March, the vice president believes.
