The 6th meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic and humanitarian cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan was held.

"APA-Economics" informs that the co-chairman of the Commission, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov stressed that Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan relations based on friendly and brotherly relations are developing successfully, and that our country attaches importance to the expansion of partnership with Turkmenistan.

It was pointed out that there is a significant increase in trade, which is one of the main areas of cooperation.

Thus, the volume of trade turnover in January-October increased more than 6.5 times compared to the corresponding period of last year.

However, there is great scope to further increase the trading volume.

In addition, the vast potential of both countries in energy, transport-transit and other fields creates a favorable basis for the development of relations.

At the event, detailed information was provided on the business and investment attractiveness of our country, and Turkmen investors were invited for active cooperation.

Batir Atdayev, co-chairman of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, emphasized the successful relations between our countries, shared his views on the development of partnership in new directions, the expansion of business relations and the implementation of joint projects.

The document was signed by the co-chairmen of the Commission - Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batir Atdayev.

The document envisages strengthening cooperation in economic-trade, energy, transport, agriculture and food security, urban planning and architecture, as well as other areas.
