The government assures that Ukraine has enough energy resources, in particular fuel, to get through the winter.

This was said by the head of the government, Denys Shmyhal, during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Tuesday, November 29.

According to him, Ukraine enters with 14 billion cubic meters of gas in storage and 1.3 million tons of coal in warehouses.

Fuel imports in recent months amounted to about 700,000 tons per month.

"This applies

not only to gas and coal, but also to fuel

. In the conditions of increased imports of diesel and gasoline generators, we understand that the demand for fuel may increase. But the Ministry of Economy does not foresee its shortage. The government is in constant dialogue with fuel networks and closely monitors according to the balance of import and consumption," the Prime Minister noted.

What is the situation with fuel against the background of increased imports of generators

This year, in November, there is an increase in the demand for fuel due to an increase in the import of diesel and gasoline generators.

The director of the A-95 consulting group, Serhiy Kuyun, noted that there was no sharp increase in prices.

However, he emphasized that prices have increased in the most popular chains, which have received the largest share of this new demand.

The Ministry of Economy is confident that fuel networks will most likely experience increased demand, but given the current volume of oil product imports to Ukraine, there should not be a shortage of fuel.
