Jamala

met with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on the eve of her trip to the USA. 

The official meeting of the performer with the country's leader took place in the President's Office.

The husband of the performer Seit-Bekir Suleymanov, as well as the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, were also invited. 

Volodymyr Oleksandrovych talked about the conversation with Jamala in his social networks and emphasized that now it is very important to tell the world about the events in Ukraine. 

"It is important for us to get through this winter. We are able to win and we are winning. But without the help of the United States - the leader in supporting Ukraine - which we will continue to need, it would be very difficult for us. Therefore, on the eve of the singer Jamala's trip to the United States to participate in public and cultural events talked about the fact that signals from famous figures of culture and art definitely have an impact in the world. Jamala's voice can be heard everywhere. So this is a great opportunity to once again remind everyone that there is a war going on in Ukraine," the president noted.

In turn, Jamala also added a video of the meeting to Instagram.

The singer admitted that it was a pleasure for her to meet the president and receive important instructions from him for the upcoming tour to the USA.

"Once again, I am convinced that the cultural front is integral to the struggle of Ukraine. I will remind you about the war until we win and return all our territories. Such meetings give us the strength to fight further for Crimea and every centimeter of our country. The truth is behind us, we all we are going to the same goal, to victory. In the States, I will speak and sing about us," the singer wrote.
