In

Poland

, a company dealing with the accommodation of refugees from Ukraine was exposed in a scam involving the receipt of financial aid from the state for the resettlement of Ukrainians.

This is reported by polsatnews.pl.

Inspections carried out in the summer of this year revealed that one of the

centers in Warsaw almost doubled the actual number of accepted refugees from Ukraine

.

A little over 1,000 people were accommodated there.

Instead, the documents indicated more than 2,000 Ukrainians.

As a result, funding for this center was terminated in June.

And for the first summer month, the company received compensation according to the actual number of accepted refugees.

It is assumed that from March to May, when checks were not carried out,

the firm could illegally receive even several million zlotys.

"It is unacceptable to rely on a human tragedy, which is the war in Ukraine. Just make money from this tragedy," says Mr. Pavlo, a former agent of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau.

At the same time, Polish journalists also discovered that the

firm is still receiving money.

After the incident, the company allegedly turned to another Warsaw neighborhood for funding, which could pay more than 2 million 237 zlotys for the accommodation of refugees from June to the end of October.

It is not reported whether there were checks on the conformity of the amount with the number of people admitted.

In addition, according to journalists, the company that signed the contract for the creation of a refugee accommodation center in the building allegedly did not have the right to dispose of it, because the real estate belongs to another company.

The latter, apparently, has debts to several dozen economic entities in Poland.

At the same time, both companies, the owner and the tenant of the building, are related to each other.

"They are very dangerous people. These are people connected to the former communist special services, thanks to their connections, connections, but also experience, they can still be at large today," explained Marcin Ginel, lawyer, president of the board of the Enforcement Directorate debts

We will remind you that in order to avoid fraud, the Polish ZUS organized inspections of people who receive payments from the state for helping refugees.

Monitoring concerns Ukrainians themselves.

For example, payments under the "500+" or "Family capital guardian" programs are canceled for

refugees who leave Poland for more than a month .

More than 80,000 Ukrainian citizens have already been left without payments as a result of their long-term departure from Poland.

As reported, in Poland, more than 20 people,

including children

, were poisoned in the center for Ukrainian refugees in Glucholazy in the Opole Voivodeship .

They were hospitalized.
