Germany also bears partial responsibility for Russian aggression against Ukraine, as Berlin supported the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

This was

stated

by the head of the Ministry of Justice of the Federal Republic of Germany, Marko Buschmann, in his welcoming speech at the meeting of the ministers of justice of the "Group of Seven" countries on Tuesday.

He noted that the decision of the German leadership to support the construction of "PP-2" after the annexation of Crimea in 2014 was Berlin's contribution to the beginning of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

"I believe that it is our duty to face the truth and draw the right conclusions from it," he said.

We will remind, earlier the ex-chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel

told why she could not dissuade Putin from war

.

It should be noted that in June, Merkel gave an interview in which she said that she

could not blame herself for her mistakes regarding Russia

 and Ukraine.

In addition, we previously reported that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that

Russia's bomb terror against the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine must stop

and Moscow must end the war.
