German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier emphasizes that at the current stage of the war, peace talks between Ukraine and the aggressor

Russia

are unacceptable.

After all, such a dialogue legitimizes the loss of Ukrainian territories.

He expressed this opinion in an interview with Deutsche Welle.

Steinmeier calls "recommendations to conclude a truce now" frivolous.

According to him, a truce at this stage "would justify the injustice that has already happened."

"The armistice now will mean that Russia will keep the occupied territory for itself. It means that the borders are violated, international law is being disrespected and the land is being seized - that all this will be allowed," the German president emphasized.

Steinmeier condemns Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure and civilians.

He calls such actions of the aggressor "part of the military strategy."

"We don't just have a brutal, aggressive war being waged against the Ukrainian army. But we have - and this becomes more noticeable the closer to winter - a brutal attack on critical infrastructure and, of course, on the civilian population," added the Federal President of Germany.

It will be recalled that

the Kremlin once again announced the impossibility of negotiations with Ukraine

.

Kyiv is once again being blamed for this by President-dictator Volodymyr Putin.

They said that the "Ukrainian position" is hindering the negotiations, Peskov accused.
