"It is an investment in our biggest capital - the health of our children. It is an expression of hope for our future as a society, because it manages to unite people with different professions, education, social status around a significant cause," said the president.

The 20th anniversary edition of "Bulgarian Christmas" begins

In the past year, the initiative achieved a record budget of over 3 million BGN.

With the funds, 517 children with severe chronic diseases were supported and equipment was donated to 22 hospitals around the country.

The campaign for next year will be dedicated to children with rare genetic diseases.
