In an interview with the Austrian news agency APA, Michael Ludwig stated the decision, referring to the viral epidemics during the cold season.

Strict measures also remain in hospitals and facilities for the elderly and disabled.

The situation in hospitals is still complicated, adds the mayor, people with damaged or fragile health must be taken care of.

A negative PCR test is required for visitors, and the FFP2 type mask is also mandatory.  

Hospitals do not have a daily visitor limit.
