"A few days ago, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, came to work on foot and drew attention to the problem of public transport.

He offered an alternative to prevent traffic jams in Baku."

APA informs that this was stated by MP Nagif Hamzayev at the meeting of the Milli Majlis held today.

The deputy noted that there are already traffic jams in all parts of the day: "I hope that other ministries, officials, state institutions will also join this action.

But let's face it, it is not possible to use the metro or public transport during rush hours.

I personally tried it.

However, if earlier it was difficult at 8-9 o'clock, now it is very difficult to find a seat on the subway even at 10 o'clock, I had to miss 3-4 carriages.

The matter should be taken seriously.

It should be taken into account that the number of people in Baku has increased.

"The operation of the subway or public transport under the previous regime cannot solve this problem."

The deputy noted that schools are the cause of the traffic jams: "I witnessed the possibility of coming from Ahmadli to the city center in 15 minutes during the autumn vacation in schools.

The traffic jam is directly related to the school and our students studying in the school.

Because a car leaves from every house to bring these children to school.

I suggest that public transport should be free for schoolchildren and teachers at least twice a day.

The number of buses in public transport should be increased."
