Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has strongly condemned the action of a supporter of Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo CHADEMA seen in a video on social media denying a citizen the opportunity to work because he was wearing a CCM t-shirt and said the incident was a violation of the country's constitution.

The Secretary of NEC, Ideology and Propaganda of CCM, Shaka Hamdu Shaka has made the statement in Dodoma where he said that despite breaking the constitution, the incident is setting back the efforts of President Samia and the leaders of the political parties in bringing about reconciliation and saying that the government agencies should deal with him.

Shaka's statement came after a 'video clip' was circulated on social media involving Chadema member Mwalimu Chacha Heche, brother of Chadema Central Committee member John Heche, against an old man in Mara region.

The video shows Chacha forcing the old man to take off the T-shirt with the CCM logo that he was wearing because of his personal desire.

"The young man was seen abducting him and forcing him to take off the CCM t-shirt in order to be able to give the old man a job and if he didn't do that then he would fire him, that act is a violation of human rights and the freedom of a Tanzanian to believe in the political party's desired ideology for the answer to the constitution of the Republic of the Union of Tanzania Article 3 (1) and Article 20 (1) and law number 5 on political parties and its amendments in 2018."
