A climber from Taiping Mountain fell into a coma and a mountain friend performed CPR for him, but the emergency rescue by helicopter was still in vain.

[Reporter Jiang Zhixiong/Yilan Report] A 67-year-old man surnamed Guo from Yilan County, together with 9 other climbers, went to the Taiwan Beech Trail in Taiping Mountain today. On the way, he suddenly fell into a coma. His fellow mountaineers performed CPR for him. The fire department applied for helicopter rescue and sent him to He went to Yilan Yangda Hospital for emergency treatment, but was finally declared dead.

The fire department received the report at 1:29 p.m., and dispatched the Datong team to the mountain, contacted the Taipingshan Police Station and Cuifeng Mountain House personnel to assist in the rescue, and applied for helicopter support. The helicopter departed from Hualien and arrived at the scene at 4:15 to complete the hoisting , transferred to Yilan Sports Park, and then sent to Yangda Hospital by ambulance.
