There is no control in hunting in Bulgaria.

This was stated by the deputy from "We continue the change" and former head of the Forestry Agency, Alexander Dunchev, in the program "Before Everyone" on BNR.

He provoked discontent by writing on social networks: "Do you agree that Radev's office should allow BGN 2 million from your taxes to be used for state control over hunters, whether they practice their favorite hobby correctly, because so far these expenses have were paid personally by the hunters as a fee to the Forestry Agency?".

"According to the Law on Hunting and the Protection of Game, hunting entities in Bulgaria use game as a public resource and the territories on which it moves by paying one or another form of fee to the state. The Law on Hunting and Competitions determines this fee," explained Dunchev .

The fees of hunting groups are 10-20 times lower than those of legal entities and are symbolic, the deputy pointed out.

According to him, 70% of these fees, which are about BGN 10-15 million per year, are used by the hunting parties to relocate the game, to take care of it, so that they can then use it by shooting.
