Noida police have arrested two people for allegedly robbing an SUV on the pretext of taking a lift in Delhi and then overpowering the driver by using chilli powder.

Officials gave this information on Monday.

An official said that a Tata Harrier car belonging to a resident of Noida Sector-93, who works in Delhi, was being driven by a driver, who offered a ride to four strangers in exchange for money. 

Quoting the FIR, the officer said that the strangers sat in the car in Noida and went to Delhi.

There he rubbed chili powder on the eyes of the driver.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida) Saad Miyan Khan said that two accused have been arrested and the car has also been recovered. 

Khan said, "Zero FIR was registered in this case which took place in Delhi on September 23. The case was later registered at Noida Sector 20 police station. Also, the officials of Phase 2 police station will be able to track down the suspects in their area." He was reported to be there. And he was caught on Sunday." 

The official said that two suspects, Roshan Mishra and Anil Kumar, have been arrested, while two more of their accomplices are yet to be caught.
