[Reporter Hou Chengxu/Kaohsiung Report] Chen Qimai, mayor of DPP Kaohsiung who was re-elected successfully, received a total of 766,147 votes, 228,000 votes more than the DPP candidates.

The DPP nominated a total of 36 seats in Kaohsiung city councilors, with a total of 537,662 votes, 228,485 votes less than Chen Qimai's, or nearly 29.8% of the votes.

Adding the 48,259 votes of the Taiwan Foundation, 27,497 votes of the Power of the Times, and 13,428 votes of the Taiwan Federation, the total number of votes for the Pan-Green camp is 626,846 votes, which is only up to Chen Qimai got 81.8% of the votes.

During the election period, Chen Qimai gave full play to the hen effect. At the critical moment before the polling day, he tried his best to promote the marginal party candidates who were elected to achieve the effect of consolidating votes.

In contrast, the Kuomintang mayoral candidate Ke Zhien received 529,607 votes, and the Kuomintang parliamentary candidate received a total of 517,441 votes.
