In Kyiv, the length of the curfew

will not be reduced yet .

This was stated by the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, the decision to change the duration of the curfew will be made by the Kyiv Defense Council, taking into account the recommendations of the military.

After all, it was introduced for the safety of the residents of the capital.

"So far, there has been no discussion on increasing or decreasing the curfew. We have not considered this issue yet, because it is not relevant," Klitschko said.

It should be noted that currently the curfew in Kyiv lasts from 23:00 to 05:00.

During this time, it is forbidden to be outside and in public places;

move by transport without a special pass or on foot.

You can go out only to get to the nearest shelter in the event of an air raid alert.

It is also necessary to observe the light masking regime during the curfew.

As a reminder, curfew hours were shortened

in Poltava Oblast from November 19 .

It is valid from 23:00 to 05:00.

It was also allowed to sell alcohol until 8:00 p.m., instead of 6:00 p.m., as it was before.

By the way, Ukrainians are warned that the Russian occupying forces may launch new attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities within a week.

People are urged to prepare as much as possible for a potential attack.

The authorities of Kyiv are also preparing for a blackout, which may occur as a result of Russian attacks, and 

call on every resident of the capital

have supplies of technical and drinking water, food, and warm things at home.

In addition, Kyivites are advised, if possible, to arrange with friends or acquaintances who live in the suburbs of the capital to spend some time there in case of a blackout.

At the same time, in the event of a blackout

 , no evacuation is planned in Kyiv.
