Mayor Huang Weizhe said that since the Tainan-Osaka direct flight opened in 2015, the door of exchanges between Tainan City and Wakayama City has opened. Huang Weizhe said that the last meeting and exchange between the Tainan City Government and the Wakayama City Council was in November 2019. Due to the epidemic, the on-site exchanges between the two cities were temporarily unable to proceed, but the mutual friendship has not been interrupted, especially after Taiwan's border was lifted. He was deeply moved by the special visit of Councilors Endo and Inoue. He also took the opportunity to invite the two to come to Tainan again in 2024 to welcome Tainan's 400-year grand event with Tainan. The Tainan City Tourism Bureau stated that the Tainan City Council signed a friendly exchange agreement with the Wakayama City Council in 2019, and the two parties also agreed to carry out library exchange activities with the Wakayama City New Citizens Library through the new general map of Tainan.

Councilor Inoue also said that he plans to set up a special area for Tainan books in the Wakayama City New Citizen Library, so that people from all over the world can quickly read about Tainan's big and small events.
