Finland

is ready to receive more than 10,000 Ukrainians in the winter, who will be forced to leave Ukraine due to the destruction of critical infrastructure by Russia.

Yle writes about this with reference to Ilkka Haakhtela, Director General of the Migration Service of Finland (Migri).

As the publication writes, Finland is also ready to quickly organize additional places.

In winter, more people may leave Ukraine due to Russian airstrikes on the country's energy system.

In autumn, Migri held a tender for the opening of new refugee accommodation centers.

Currently, the head of the Migration Service of Finland is in Malta, where EU countries are discussing the situation with new refugees.
