The head of Chechnya,

Ramzan Kadyrov

, has political ambitions and can become the person who "brings Putin's head to the new government."

This opinion was expressed by the former deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Ilya Ponomaryev on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel on November 28.

Ponomaryov believes that the minimum task for Kadyrov is to be the leader of Muslims in Russia, but he probably has ambitions for a political career.

"I think that Ramzan will definitely play the political game. Moreover, Ramzan once again has a very reliable rear, he has a place to fall. Unlike Putin, Ramzan can at any moment gather and go to the Arab Emirates. There everything is prepared for this. It is not clear what will happen next, but now he definitely believes that he has everything covered there," said the Russian opposition leader.

Ponomaryov named three scenarios that Kadyrov can implement.

"Option number one is to bring Putin's head to the new government on a big silver platter. He can easily implement it. And most of all, I consider this option the most likely... The main thing is to feel that the time has come. Option number two is to declare independence of Chechnya and remain the ruler of a correspondingly independent Chechnya at the moment of the fall of power in Moscow, let's say, to play ahead. And option number three is to move to the Emirates and live to your own satisfaction. All three options are absolutely real," the Russian opposition leader believes.

According to Ponomaryov, Kadyrov will make a choice between the first two options, because the third option for him is equivalent to retirement.
